Heucherella Solar Eclipse is an evergreen, clump-forming perennial with scalloped, rich, reddish-brown leaves boldly adorned by lime green edges. The darker leaf color becomes more prominent during the course of the year when the whole leaf appears nearly black with a golden edge. Upright sprays of slender stems with starry white flowers appear during late spring/summer, which are often added to cut flower arrangements. Very easy to grow, this plant is a cross between Heuchera and Tiarella and displays characteristics of both parents. Grown for its stunning foliage, this heucherella variety will make an impressive addition to any borders and beds, but prefers the shadier parts of your garden. This colorful variety is a spectacular addition to flower beds and borders. For best foliage color, plant in part shade conditions protected from the afternoon sun. Herbaceous plants die back below the soil in the Winter and may be supplied in their dormant state during this time. Fresh growth will be seen the following Spring.
