Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Adjust the interpupillary distance by folding the binoculars until the circles of the field of view merge into one.
- Extend the binoculars to match the distance between your eyes.
- Use the center focus knob to bring your subject into sharp focus. Rotate the knob until the image is clear.
- If you wear glasses, adjust the dioptric correction (usually on the right eyepiece) to compensate for differences in your eyesight. Set the diopter to zero, then focus on a distant object using the center focus knob. Finally, turn the diopter until the image is sharp for your right eye, then focus using the center knob. The binoculars will then be set for your vision.
Compatibility:
These binoculars are designed for general viewing purposes and are compatible with most users, including those who wear eyeglasses (though eye relief may be a consideration).
Care:
- Cleaning Lenses: Use a soft brush or lens cleaning cloth to remove dust. For smudges, use a lens cleaning solution applied to a soft cloth, then wipe gently. Never use abrasive materials.
- Waterproof Care: While waterproof, avoid submerging the binoculars for extended periods or in saltwater. After exposure to saltwater or sand, rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly.
- Storage: Store in a dry place, preferably in a protective case (if provided), away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Grip: The rubber coating provides a secure grip, but avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals.
