Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Insert the included 9-volt battery into the battery compartment on the back of the multimeter.
- Connect the red and black test leads to the appropriate jacks: typically 'VΩmA' for voltage, resistance, and low current, and 'COM' for the common ground.
- Select the desired measurement function (e.g., AC Voltage, DC Voltage, Resistance) using the rotary dial.
- Use the auto-ranging feature by simply connecting the test leads to the circuit or component under test.
Compatibility:
This multimeter is compatible with standard electrical testing scenarios, including automotive systems, household wiring, and electronic hobbyist projects. It is designed to meet CE CAT. III 1000V safety standards.
Care:
- Keep the multimeter clean and dry. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth if necessary; avoid solvents.
- Store in a cool, dry place when not in use, preferably in its protective shell.
- Inspect test leads regularly for any signs of damage. Replace if frayed or cracked.
- Ensure the battery is replaced when the low battery indicator appears to maintain accuracy.
