Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Gather necessary tools including the MS014 kit, correct brake fluid type for your motorcycle, a wrench to fit your bleed nipple, and appropriate safety gear (gloves, eye protection).
- Compatibility: Ensure the MS014 is compatible with your motorcycle or scooter's brake system. It's designed for standard hydraulic brake systems. Check your service manual for brake fluid type. This kit is suitable for use on many motorcycle and scooter models.
- Connecting the Kit: Attach the correct sized hose to the bleed nipple, and the other hose to the bleed valve. Make sure all connections are secure, but do not overtighten.
- Bleeding Process: Open the bleed nipple slightly. Pump the brake lever (or clutch lever), and observe the old fluid and air bubbles being expelled into the collection valve.
- Closing and Finishing: Close the bleed nipple when the fluid runs clear and free of air bubbles. Top up the brake fluid reservoir. Test the brakes for correct function before riding.
- Care: After use, clean the kit components with a suitable solvent and allow them to dry. Store the kit in a clean and dry place, ready for the next use. Dispose of the used brake fluid responsibly.
Important: Always refer to your motorcycle's service manual for specific instructions and fluid requirements. Using the wrong fluid can damage your braking system.
