The JCP Fixings 20 x 20mm Angle Brackets are designed for DIY enthusiasts and professionals seeking a reliable, compact solution for reinforcing shelving, frames, and small joinery projects. Their primary benefit is providing strong L-shaped structural support in tight spaces while featuring a durable BZP finish for corrosion resistance; however, users should note that they are limited to light-to-medium-duty applications due to their small physical dimensions.

No, the brackets are supplied as the metal units only; you will need to provide appropriate wood screws for your specific application.
While the BZP finish offers some corrosion resistance, they are primarily intended for indoor use. Outdoor use may lead to premature rusting unless painted or sealed.
The brackets feature a BZP (Bright Zinc Plated) finish, which gives them a silver appearance and helps prevent rust.
Use wood screws that correspond to the pre-drilled hole diameter, typically gauges suited for light joinery, ensuring they are long enough to grip the wood but not so long they protrude through the other side.
No, they are compact 20 x 20mm brackets best suited for light-to-medium-duty reinforcement, such as internal shelving or frame squaring.
Ensure you drill a pilot hole smaller than the screw diameter before fastening.
Check that the screw size matches the bracket hole size and tighten firmly.
Remove the bracket and clean the affected area with a soft wire brush and apply a light coat of metal polish or clear lacquer.
To install, hold the bracket against the joint surface and mark the screw holes. It is recommended to use an awl or a small pilot drill bit before driving your screws to prevent the wood from splitting. Ensure your screws match the diameter of the pre-drilled holes for a secure fit. For maintenance, simply wipe the brackets with a dry cloth periodically to remove dust or debris. If installed in an area with high humidity, inspect the BZP coating occasionally to ensure it remains intact, as scratches can eventually lead to surface oxidation.
