This Tamiya Sand Bags 1/35 Scale kit is designed for hobbyists and modellers looking to add realistic detail to military dioramas. Its key benefit is the high level of detail and flexibility in arrangement, allowing for dynamic scene creation. A caveat is that it requires separate purchase of cement, paint, and finishing supplies for completion.

The kit includes forty-eight unpainted, un-assembled sandbags molded in plastic, designed for 1:35 scale dioramas.
The sandbags are individual pieces and are typically glued to the diorama base or to each other using hobby cement, depending on the desired arrangement.
A standard plastic model cement or a cyanoacrylate (super glue) is recommended for assembling and attaching the sandbags.
Acrylic or enamel model paints designed for plastic models are suitable. Earth tones like tan, brown, and olive drab are common for realistic sandbag appearances.
While designed for 1:35 scale, they might be used for larger scales as smaller detail elements, but will appear disproportionately small for scales like 1:72 or smaller.
The packaging dimensions are approximately Length: 17cm, Height: 15.5cm, Width: 2cm.
No, this is a precision model kit for hobbyists and modellers aged 14 and above. It is not a toy and requires adult supervision during assembly.
Ensure all excess plastic (sprues, mold lines) has been carefully trimmed. Check instructions for correct part orientation. Light sanding may be necessary for a precise fit.
Ensure the plastic surface is clean and free of dust or grease before painting. Use a primer suitable for plastic models. Allow adequate drying time between coats.
Vary the arrangement of sandbags to create a more natural and dynamic look. Mix different shading techniques during painting to simulate wear and tear or different batches of sand.
This is a ready-to-assemble precision model kit. Assembly requires hobby cement and finishing supplies such as paints, which are sold separately.
Compatibility: Designed specifically for 1:35 scale model kits, particularly military subjects.
Care: Store the kit in its original packaging in a dry environment. Once assembled and painted, dust gently with a soft brush. Avoid exposing painted models to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
