Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation of the K107 boards requires standard woodworking tools, such as a fine-toothed saw or a sharp insulation knife. When fitting the boards:
- Ensure the rafters or joists are clean and dry.
- Measure the gap between rafters accurately; leave a minimal tolerance for the board thickness.
- Install the boards with the foil face exposed toward the ventilated gap, following local building regulations for cavity ventilation.
- Secure the boards using recommended mechanical fasteners or specialized insulation adhesives.
- Use vapour-resistant foil tape on all butt joints to create a continuous thermal and vapour barrier.
Store boards in a flat, dry area, protected from rain and direct sunlight until ready for installation. If working in humid conditions, ensure the foil edges are adequately sealed to prevent moisture absorption into the core.
