Schizophragma hydrangeoides, commonly known as the Climbing Hydrangea, is a hardy, deciduous climbing shrub that thrives in sunny or partially shaded areas. In June and July, it produces creamy-white, lace-cap flowers arranged in flat-topped clusters, reminiscent of Hydrangeas. Its rich green, ovate, toothed leaves provide a lush backdrop for the elegant blooms, covering the woody stems beautifully. Though relatively slow-growing initially, once established, this shrub creates a stunning wall covering that will offer years of enjoyment. During the first few years, it will need to be tied to the supporting wall; afterward, it will attach itself using self-clinging aerial roots. Height: 6m (19ft). Spread: 3m (10ft). Supplied as 1 x 2 litre Potted Plant. Plant height and spread vary by season, so we list by pot size rather than a specific plant size. The plant you receive may differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. Growing Information: Plant Schizophragma hydrangeoides in any fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded location. While it will flower best in full sun, this climbing shrub also adapts well to north-facing spots and cooler conditions. Features: Supplied as pot grown plants in nursery pots, decorative pots are not included Specifications: Weight: 1.0 kg Model Number: KF4154
