Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup: These hammers require no assembly and are ready for immediate use out of the packaging.
Compatibility: These are manual tools and are compatible with a wide range of materials commonly used in jewellery making, watch repair, model making, and other crafts, including soft metals, plastic, and wood. They are not designed for use with hardened steel or masonry.
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe the hammer heads clean with a dry, soft cloth to remove any dust or debris.
- Storage: Store the hammers in a dry place to prevent moisture damage to the wooden handles. A tool roll or dedicated slot in a toolbox is recommended to protect the heads.
- Handle Maintenance: Periodically, you may apply a light coat of wood oil (like mineral oil) to the handles to maintain their finish and prevent drying, especially if stored in a dry environment. Ensure the oil is wiped off thoroughly before use.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the heads for any signs of damage or loosening from the handles. If a head appears loose, do not use the hammer and consider professional repair or replacement.
