Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation of the DP4762R pads follows standard brake pad replacement procedures. It is essential to ensure that your brake discs are clean and free of glazing from previous pads before installation. The included Brake-In surface coating is designed to speed up the contact patch development; however, you should still perform a series of moderate stops from varying speeds after installation to ensure a complete transfer layer is established. Inspect your brake fluid and ensure it is fresh, as the increased heat capacity of these pads can stress older, moisture-contaminated fluid. To maintain peak performance, periodically check the pad thickness and ensure the sliding pins or caliper pistons are well-lubricated.
