Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
To ensure a safe and secure fit, it is recommended to use appropriate stair runner adhesive strips or carpet tape designed for this purpose. Lay the runner flat on the stairs, ensuring it is centered and smoothed out to avoid any bumps or tripping hazards. For optimal results, professional installation is advised, especially for custom-fit runners, to guarantee proper adhesion and a neat finish. Ensure the staircase surface is clean and dry before application.
Compatibility:
This stair runner is designed for use on most standard staircase materials, including wood, tile, and carpeted stairs (if being used as an overlay). It is compatible with underfloor heating systems, provided the adhesive used is also rated for such conditions. Ensure compatibility with any adhesives or fixings you plan to use.
Care:
Regular vacuuming with a standard vacuum cleaner (without a harsh beater bar) will help maintain the pile's appearance and remove surface dirt. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild detergent solution and a damp cloth, working from the outside of the stain inwards. Its bleach-cleanable property means concentrated bleach can be used sparingly on stubborn stains, followed by thorough rinsing with clean water. Always test cleaning solutions on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid saturating the jute hessian backing with excessive moisture.
