Product Information
Full details
The Thinking Anglers Camfleck Rucksack is designed for mobile anglers who prioritize efficiency during short sessions, overnight trips, or river fishing outings. Its standout feature is the boxy, upright design that allows the rucksack to function as a stable bivvy table, while its compact dimensions ensure it remains portable. While it excels at organization, the 45cm x 40cm x 27cm size may feel restrictive for anglers who need to carry extensive gear for long-duration carp fishing campaigns.

Troubleshooting
Bag feels unbalanced while wearing
Re-adjust the shoulder straps to ensure even tension and reorganize your gear so heavier items are placed closer to the back panel.
EVA tray does not sit flat in the top pocket
Check the pocket for debris or trapped fabric edges; ensure the tray is aligned with the internal retaining clips.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Stable base allows the bag to act as a workspace table
- Removable EVA tray is excellent for keeping small items accessible
- Compact dimensions make it ideal for stalking and short sessions
- Robust, waterproof base protects gear from wet ground
- Ergonomic back padding provides genuine comfort
Cons
- Limited capacity for anglers needing long-stay storage
- Boxy shape can be harder to pack into irregular spaces compared to soft-sided bags
- Requires careful planning of gear due to its specialized size
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To keep the rucksack in peak condition, ensure the waterproof base is wiped down with a damp cloth after every trip to prevent mud buildup from damaging the material. The straps are fully adjustable; take the time to dial in the fit before your first walk to ensure the weight sits correctly on your hips and shoulders. When loading the bag, utilize the structured interior to place heavier, harder items at the bottom to maintain a low center of gravity. For long-term storage, keep the bag in a dry environment away from direct sunlight to prevent the Camfleck fabric from fading over time. Always ensure the EVA tray is snapped securely into the top pocket before transit to prevent loss of smaller contents.
