The Pro Power M16 Cable Gland is an essential component for electrical contractors, panel builders, and DIY enthusiasts who require secure cable entry and environmental protection. It offers a reliable, IP66-rated seal that guards against dust and water ingress, ensuring long-term connectivity in demanding environments. While it excels in durability and ease of installation, users should verify their specific cable diameter (7mm to 10.5mm) before purchase, as it will not accommodate cables outside this narrow tolerance range.

No, this gland is designed specifically for round cables to ensure a uniform seal around the circumference.
The black finish provides basic UV resistance, but for long-term exposure in extreme sunlight, periodic inspection of the seal is recommended.
Yes, the product is typically supplied with the necessary locknut for a secure installation.
This gland is intended for cabinet and enclosure entry, not for direct burial or pressurized conduit systems.
Verify that the cable diameter is at least 7mm. If the cable is too thin, the seal will not make sufficient contact, and you may need a smaller gland size.
Confirm that your enclosure cutout is exactly 16mm. If the hole is too small, use a step drill bit to enlarge it to the required specification.
Ensure the gland body is perfectly perpendicular to the enclosure wall to prevent cross-threading.
To install, ensure your enclosure knockout matches the M16 standard. Insert the gland body through the hole and secure it from the inside using the provided locknut. Feed the cable through the gland, then tighten the dome nut by hand or with an appropriate wrench until you feel resistance and the seal is visibly compressed. Avoid over-tightening with excessive force, as this can deform the internal seal. For maintenance, periodically inspect the seal for cracks or brittleness, especially in outdoor installations exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods.
