Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your jacket remains effective, follow these care steps:
- Washing: Close all zips and drawcords before washing. Machine wash on a gentle cycle using a mild liquid detergent. Do not use fabric softeners as they can damage the DWR coating.
- Drying: Air dry whenever possible. If machine drying is necessary, use a cool setting, though it is often better to hang the jacket to dry to maintain the integrity of the insulation.
- DWR Maintenance: Over time, water-repellent performance may fade. Consider using a dedicated fabric wash-in reproofer to restore the coating if water stops beading on the surface.
- Storage: Hang the jacket on a sturdy hanger in a cool, dry place when not in use to maintain its shape and insulation loft.
