A C13 coupler is a female connector commonly found on the power cords for electronic devices. It mates with a C14 inlet, which is standard on many computers, monitors, and other equipment. It is often referred to as a 'kettle lead' connector.

The fuse is located within the UK plug. Typically, there is a small flap or cover that can be opened (sometimes with a small screwdriver or fingernail). Carefully remove the old fuse and insert a new one of the same rating (5A).

Ensure the UK plug is securely inserted into the wall socket and the C13 coupler is fully seated in the device's C14 port. Check if the fuse in the UK plug has blown; if so, replace it with a new 5A fuse of the same rating.

Check for loose connections at both ends of the cable. Inspect the cable for any visible damage, kinks, or wear. If damage is found, discontinue use and replace the cable.

Unplug the device immediately. This may indicate the connected device is drawing more current than the cable (or its fuse) can safely handle. Verify the device's power requirements against the cable's 5A rating.
