FAQs

Can I use this thinner with other brands of acrylic paint?

While it may work, it is specifically designed for use with AK Interactive acrylic paints. Results may vary.

How much thinner should I add to the paint?

Start with a 1:1 ratio of paint to thinner, but adjust based on your airbrush, paint, and desired effect. Experiment to find what works best for you.

How do I clean my airbrush after use?

Flush the airbrush with the AK Interactive 11500 Acrylic Paint Thinner or a dedicated airbrush cleaner. Disassemble the airbrush and clean all parts thoroughly.

What is the shelf life of the thinner?

When stored properly, the thinner should last for several years. Always seal the bottle tightly after use.

Can I use this thinner with a brush?

Yes, it can improve the flow and workability of acrylic paints when using a brush.

What should I do if the paint still clogs my airbrush?

Ensure the airbrush nozzle is clean. Try thinning the paint further and check your air pressure. Also, make sure the paint is properly mixed and free of any debris.

Troubleshooting

Airbrush Clogging

Ensure the paint is properly thinned. Clean your airbrush thoroughly, including the nozzle and needle. Try a 1:1 paint to thinner ratio and adjust as needed.

Uneven Paint Application

Adjust the paint-to-thinner ratio. Ensure the surface is clean and primed correctly. Use multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat.

Paint Drying Too Quickly

Add more thinner to slow down the drying process. Adjust air pressure on your airbrush.
