Full details
Kintsugi Japanese art assumes contemporary shapes. This delicate glass is glorified and enriched with gold fragments for a tableweare collection made of charming and unexpected compositions. Material: Glass and Gold Size: 8.5cm H Dishwasher safe. Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba's collaboration with Seletti continues with the 'Kintsugi' collection, a series that incorporates the centuries-old Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with precious metals. Here, the technique materialises with 24 carat gold applied to a range of tableware items — such as this clear glass — in a manner that imitates the smoothing over of a series of cracks, in a nod to the beauty of regeneration and repair. Seletti Glass Transparent Glass. Dimensions: Ø 8.2 x H 10 cm. Imperfect and atypical, such are the characteristics sought by Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba with the Kintsugi range. This contemporary crockery set is inspired by Kintsugi, an ancestral Japanese method for repairing broken china and ceramic with gold. Kintsugi is made up of cups, mugs, bowls, plates and a tray with a cracked all-over look, as though you had glued the pieces together from different containers to make on object in its own right. The pieces with their asymmetrical lines have a mix of patterns, textures and shapes. The different pieces that make them up are joined together by fine gold. For easy everyday use, all the items from the Kintsugi collection are microwave and dishwasher safe. Surprise your guests with this collection that is both charming and stunning!
