This Charnwood drum sander is designed for finishing timber after planing. It features a powered conveyor belt with variable speed control for optimal finishing on various timber types. The sander has a single-pass capacity of 405mm (16 inches) and can achieve up to 810mm (32 inches) with two passes by removing the side plate. The sanding drum height is adjustable via a large handwheel, with settings readable in millimeters and inches. Changing the sandpaper wrap is tool-free; pre-cut wraps taper at each end for clamping. For those using sandpaper rolls, templates are needed for tapering before fitting. Mobility is enhanced with included wheels and lifting handles. It comes supplied with an 80-grit sanding wrap, floor stand, wheels, lifting handles, a dust port elbow, a 2.0m cable, and a UK 3-pin plug.
