Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure maximum performance, follow these guidelines:
- Trench Preparation: Excavate trenches with a consistent gradient (typically 1:100 fall) to encourage water flow toward the outlet.
- Installation: Unroll the pipe carefully into the trench. Ensure the sleeve remains intact; if torn, patch it with permeable tape to avoid silt ingress.
- Backfilling: Use clean, granular material around the pipe to provide support, followed by native soil. Avoid using large, jagged rocks that could pierce the sleeve.
- Maintenance: Regularly check the outlet point of the drainage system to ensure it is not obstructed by debris, mud, or vegetation, which can cause water to back up into the pipe.
