Setup, Compatibility & Care
The Neilsen scraper requires no formal assembly and is ready for use immediately upon unboxing. Because it is made of high-quality stainless steel, it is naturally resistant to rust, but it should still be wiped dry after use, especially if it has come into contact with chemical solvents or paint strippers. To care for the hardwood handle, keep it dry and occasionally treat it with a light wood oil to prevent the handle from drying out or cracking over time. For optimal performance, hone the edge of the stainless steel blade with a fine-grit sharpening stone if it begins to dull after extensive use.
