Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Before first use, fill the kettle to the maximum line, boil, and discard the water. Repeat this process twice to remove any manufacturing residues. Ensure the kettle is placed on a stable, flat surface away from heat sources.
Compatibility: This is an electrical appliance and should only be used with standard household power outlets. The base includes cord storage for tidy placement.
Care:
- Exterior: Wipe the stainless steel exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Interior: Descale regularly, especially in hard water areas. Fill the kettle with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water, bring to a boil, let it stand for 30 minutes, then empty and rinse thoroughly. Alternatively, use a commercial descaling solution following its instructions.
- Filter: Remove the spout filter and rinse it under running water. For deeper cleaning, soak it in a vinegar-water solution.
- Base: Ensure the electrical contacts on the base and kettle are clean and dry before placing the kettle on it.
