Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Inspect: Before first use, check the pliers for any visible damage.
- Adjust Jaws: Open the pliers and position the adjustable jaw to the desired width by sliding it along the curved track or using the built-in adjustment mechanism.
- Grip: Place the jaws around the pipe or fastener.
- Lock: Apply pressure to the handles to secure the grip. The clamping protection should engage as needed.
Compatibility:
These pliers are designed to work with pipes and fasteners within their specified capacity, up to 46mm in diameter. They are compatible with standard plumbing and mechanical fittings.
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe the pliers clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
- Lubrication: Periodically lubricate the plug-in joint and the adjustable jaw mechanism with a light machine oil to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust.
- Storage: Store the pliers in a dry place, ideally in a toolbox or tool roll, to protect them from moisture and damage. Ensure the jaws are slightly open or closed to avoid stressing the joint.
