These chlorine granules are a popular choice for maintaining safe and bacteria-free pool and spa water. They dissolve rapidly, offer long-lasting effects, and have minimal impact on water pH. Suitable for shock dosing smaller above-ground pools, these granules help achieve recommended free chlorine levels: 3-5 mg/l (ppm) for hot tubs and 1-3 mg/l (ppm) for swimming pools. Always maintain the pH level between 7.2 – 7.6. For spas, maintain free chlorine residuals within the 3-5mg/l (ppm) range, and for swimming pools, 1-3mg/l (ppm). A shock or start-up dose for a freshly filled spa requires 50mg/l (ppm) for 1 hour or 20mg/l (ppm) for 2 hours. If pool or spa temperatures are below 20°C or if unsure, pre-dissolve the product in a plastic container at a maximum rate of 10g per 0.2 gallons (1 litre) of water before adding to the pool or spa with the pumps running. Repeat dosing as necessary to reach required levels. Periodic shock dosing, such as weekly or after heavy use, is recommended to eliminate contamination.
