Clarke Submersible Pump With Float Switch - 2"

The Clarke CSV4A is designed for clean to dirty water applications, capable of handling particles up to 40mm in diameter.

The float switch is attached to the pump and moves with the water level. When the water level rises, the float lifts, starting the pump. As the water level drops, the float lowers, automatically shutting the pump off to prevent it from running dry.

The pump can be submerged to a maximum depth of 7 meters.

The pump has a 2” BSP outlet and comes with adaptors to connect to 2" hose, 1½" BSP, 1¼” hose, 1” hose, and 1” BSP.

The pump is supplied with a generous 10-meter power cable.

While designed for automatic operation, continuous submersion and operation should be monitored. Ensure the pump is not running dry, as this can cause damage. Periodic checks are recommended.

The maximum head for this pump is 11 meters.

Check that the power cable is securely connected to a working electrical outlet. Ensure the float switch is not stuck in the upper position; it needs to drop with the water level to activate. Verify that the water level is sufficient to operate the pump.

Inspect the intake screen and impeller for blockages from debris. Ensure the outlet hose is not kinked or obstructed. Check that the head height does not exceed the pump's maximum capability (11 meters).

The float switch may have risen above the motor housing, indicating the water level is too low. If the water level is adequate, the thermal overload protector may have engaged due to overheating; allow the pump to cool down before restarting. Check for blockages causing the motor to strain.

Ensure the pump is placed on a firm, stable surface and is not resting on loose debris. Check that the impeller is clear of obstructions.
