Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This radiator is designed for plumbing into a standard central heating system. It is recommended that installation is performed by a qualified professional to ensure correct connection and safety. All necessary brackets, fixing kits, and valves are included. Ensure the radiator is securely mounted to the wall using the provided hardware. The thermostatic valve should be installed on the return pipe and the lockshield valve on the flow pipe.
Compatibility:
Compatible with most standard domestic central heating systems. Requires sufficient water pressure and flow to operate effectively. Ensure your boiler system is adequate for the BTU output of the radiator if installing multiple units.
Care:
- Cleaning: Wipe the radiator exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. For the mirror, use a glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth, ensuring not to spray liquid directly onto the radiator frame. A cleaning brush is provided for general maintenance.
- Maintenance: Periodically check for leaks around the valve connections. Bleed the radiator if it feels cold at the top and warm at the bottom, indicating trapped air.
- Winterization: If the heating system is to be turned off for an extended period in freezing conditions, ensure the system is drained or protected against freezing.
