Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install the AEffect 35, ensure your bicycle fork has a standard 1 1/8-inch steer tube and that your handlebars are exactly 35mm in diameter.
- Loosen the faceplate bolts to remove the front clamp.
- Center your handlebars and replace the faceplate.
- Tighten the bolts in an 'X' pattern to ensure even pressure, typically to 5-6Nm (always refer to specific manufacturer torque ratings).
- Ensure the stem is properly aligned with the front wheel before fully torquing the steerer tube clamp bolts.
For care, periodically check the bolt tension as part of a standard maintenance schedule, especially after the first few rides. Clean the handlebar and stem contact points with a dry cloth to remove debris that could cause creaking.
