Product Information

Full details

The Hama Terra Camera Backpack is an ideal choice for photographers and travelers who need a reliable, lightweight solution for carrying DSLR or mirrorless camera systems. Featuring a durable polyester build and a dedicated tablet compartment, it offers excellent organization for daily shooting; however, users should note that the interior space is optimized for compact to mid-sized setups, so it may not fit larger professional cinema lenses or extensive multi-camera kits.

FAQs

Is the Hama Terra Backpack waterproof?

The material is durable, but it includes a dedicated rain cover for superior protection against heavy rain.

Can this bag fit a 15-inch laptop?

No, the backpack features a dedicated tablet compartment, which is generally sized for smaller mobile devices rather than large laptops.

What is the weight of the bag itself?

The Hama Terra Backpack weighs approximately 750 grams.

Is this bag compatible with my specific DSLR?

The backpack is designed for universal compatibility; as long as your camera and lens combination fits within the interior dimensions of 220 x 135 x 220 mm, it will fit.

Does it have a spot for a tripod?

The bag features convenient side pockets, though it is primarily designed for camera gear and accessories rather than large tripod setups.

Troubleshooting

The zippers are becoming difficult to pull.

Clean the zipper teeth with a soft brush to remove dust or sand, and apply a small amount of silicone lubricant if necessary.

Interior dividers are not staying in place.

Ensure the velcro tabs are firmly pressed against the interior lining, and try rearranging them to create a tighter fit against the camera body.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Integrated rain cover for all-weather protection
  • Lightweight build prevents unnecessary fatigue
  • Smart organization with dedicated tablet space
  • Quick-access side pockets enhance efficiency

Cons

  • Limited interior dimensions for very large professional gear
  • Single color option (Grey)
  • Not intended for heavy-duty hiking gear storage

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To maximize the life of your Hama Terra Backpack, ensure your camera gear is centered within the padded interior to balance weight distribution. When configuring your interior, use the adjustable dividers to create snug spots for your specific lens sizes, preventing movement during transit.

Care Instructions:

  • Use a soft, damp cloth to spot-clean the polyester exterior.
  • After using the rain cover in wet conditions, allow it to air dry completely before storing it back in its compartment to prevent mold or odors.
  • Periodically check zippers for debris to ensure smooth operation.
