DuPont Tychem C, model CHA5. Hooded coverall. Available in bright yellow for high visibility. Features elasticated face, wrists, waist, and ankles for an optimal fit, with thumb loops to prevent sleeves from riding up. Includes a self-adhesive chin flap for a tight seal with face-masks. Made from a lightweight and durable fabric (less than 450g per garment). Tychem C garments combine the strength of Tyvek with a polymeric barrier coating to offer good permeation barrier protection against a wide range of inorganic chemicals and biological hazards, even under pressure. Tychem C is suitable for splash or pressurized splash protection in various industrial environments, including pulp and paper manufacturing, food processing, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. It is classified as Chemical protective clothing, Category III, Type 3-B, 4-B, 5-B and 6-B, with EN 14126 certification for barrier to infective agents and EN 1073-2 for protection against radioactive contamination. Features antistatic treatment (EN 1149-5) on the inside. Seams are stitched and over-taped with barrier tape for enhanced protection and strength. The closure system uses a self-adhesive double zipper flap for higher protection.
