Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
- Measure and plan your cutouts accurately using a tape measure and marker.
- Use a sharp utility knife or heavy-duty scissors to cut the carpet to the desired shape. Always cut on a protected surface.
- Apply a suitable spray adhesive or contact glue (sold separately) to both the carpet backing and the surface where it will be applied.
- Carefully position the carpet and press firmly to ensure good adhesion, working from one edge to the other to avoid air bubbles.
Compatibility:
This carpet roll is compatible with a wide range of automotive interior surfaces including wood, plastic, metal, and existing carpet substrates when an appropriate adhesive is used. It is suitable for:
- Car boots
- Van floors and walls
- Camper van interiors
- Speaker boxes and enclosures
- Door cards
- Parcel shelves
Care:
For general cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth to wipe away dust and light marks. For tougher stains, a mild upholstery cleaner can be spot-tested in an inconspicuous area first. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive moisture, as this can damage the material and its adhesive bond. Regular vacuuming will help maintain its appearance.
