Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Excavation: Ensure the area around the drainage pipe is accessible for installation. Excavate around the existing pipe to provide space.
- Connection: Connect the rodding eye to the 110mm pipe using the downward-facing spigot. Ensure a secure connection.
- Sealing: The push-fit ring seal system should create a watertight seal. Check for leaks after installation.
- Lid Installation: Secure the hinged lid with the provided screws to prevent debris from entering.
- Backfilling: Once the rodding eye is securely in place, backfill the excavated area.
Compatibility:
The Kayflow rodding eye is compatible with all systems manufactured to BS EN 1401 or BS EN 13476-2. It can be used with new or existing inspection chambers or soakaway crates.
Care:
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check the rodding eye for any signs of damage or blockage.
- Cleaning: Clean the rodding eye and the surrounding area if debris accumulates.
- Lid Maintenance: Ensure the lid and screws are secure to maintain a watertight seal.
