FAQs
Can I use these outdoors?
These stems are designed for indoor use. Outdoor elements like rain, high winds, and direct UV rays may degrade the materials and cause fading over time.
Are these flowers hypoallergenic?
Yes, as artificial silk-style flowers, they do not produce pollen, making them a great alternative for those who suffer from floral allergies.
How many stems are included?
Each pack contains four individual Gerbera stems.
Can I wash the stems with water?
It is recommended to use a dry cloth only. Water can potentially damage the adhesive or structural integrity of the fabric petals.
Is the stem flexible?
The stems contain a wire core that allows you to bend them to your desired angle for arrangements.
What is the total height of the stem?
Each stem measures approximately 72 cm in height.
Troubleshooting
Flowers look flattened from shipping
Gently manipulate the petals and stem with your hands; the materials are designed to be flexible and will hold the shape you mold them into.
Stem is too long for the vase
Use sturdy wire cutters to snip the stem to your preferred height. Do not use standard kitchen scissors as they may damage the blades.
Dust accumulation on petals
Use a feather duster or a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe each petal surface periodically.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Lifelike appearance that stays fresh year-round
- No watering or sunlight requirements
- Sturdy design that retains its shape
- Generous 72 cm length for versatile styling
- Easy to clean with a simple dry cloth
Cons
- Does not provide a natural floral scent
- Artificial materials may look less authentic under direct macro inspection
- Cannot be reshaped as easily as fresh flowers
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up your floral display, simply trim the stems with heavy-duty wire cutters if you need to adjust them for a shorter vase. Because the stems are structured to hold their shape, you can gently bend them to create a more organic or asymmetrical look if desired.
Compatibility:
- These stems work best with vases at least 30-40 cm tall to ensure the heads are properly displayed above the rim.
- Pair with filler foliage like eucalyptus or baby's breath for a fuller look.
Care Instructions:
- To keep the flowers looking their best, avoid placing them in direct, harsh sunlight for extended periods to prevent potential color fading.
- Dust regularly using a soft, dry cloth to prevent buildup and keep the petals looking vibrant.
