Product Information

Full details

The DEWALT DCMBBL800 FlexVolt Backpack Blower is designed for professionals who need to clear large areas of debris quickly and efficiently. Its key benefit is powerful blowing force and high air speed, allowing for faster job completion. A primary caveat is that it is sold as a bare unit, requiring separate purchase of batteries and a charger. This blower features an intuitive LED dashboard for speed control, a variable speed trigger for optimized power and runtime, and a comfortable, weight-distributing backpack frame for reduced fatigue during extended use.

FAQs

Does this product come with batteries and a charger?

No, the DeWalt DCMBBL800N-XJ is sold as a bare unit. You will need to purchase two 54V FlexVolt batteries and a compatible charger separately.

What is the run time on a single charge?

Run time varies significantly based on the battery capacity used and the speed setting. Using two high-capacity FlexVolt batteries on a lower speed setting will yield longer run times than using them at full power.

Can I use 18V batteries with this blower?

No, this backpack blower is specifically designed for and requires two DeWalt 54V FlexVolt batteries to operate.

How do I adjust the speed?

You can select one of three speed settings using the intuitive LED Dashboard. Additionally, a variable speed trigger allows for on-the-fly fine-tuning of the blowing power.

What is the warranty period for this product?

DeWalt typically offers a warranty on their tools. Please refer to the official DeWalt warranty information for the most accurate and up-to-date details for this specific model.

How heavy is the backpack unit itself, without batteries?

The weight of the backpack unit without batteries is a key factor for user comfort. Please consult the product specifications or manual for the exact weight.

Troubleshooting

Blower does not start

Verify that both 54V FlexVolt batteries are fully charged and correctly installed. Check that the battery latches are secured. Ensure the on/off switch is engaged.

Reduced blowing power

Check the air intake for blockages. Ensure the battery levels are adequate for full power. Clean any debris from the blower nozzle and tube. If the issue persists, try a fully charged set of batteries.

Backpack feels uncomfortable

Adjust the shoulder straps, chest strap, and waist belt to distribute the weight evenly. Ensure the blower tube is positioned comfortably for your reach.

Unit stops during operation

This could be due to overheating or low battery. Allow the unit to cool down if it feels excessively hot. Check battery charge levels. If using multiple speed settings, ensure batteries are compatible with sustained high-power draw.
