Full details

Single BT Wall Extension Socket (Mini). Features number-coded screw terminals for easy installation. The extension socket measures 55mm x 55mm and includes its own back box. An IDC insertion tool is supplied free of charge. This BT extension socket is designed to be connected to either a master socket or another extension socket; it cannot function as a master socket itself (a master socket connects to the main telephone cable entering the property from the telephone provider). The socket's back box can be screwed to a skirting board or wall. To fit, run a cable from the master socket or another extension socket to this socket. Newer NTE5A master sockets have a removable front panel with three IDC terminals where a cable can be attached using an IDC tool. Wire the extension socket to the master socket using the following terminal connections: terminal 2 to 2, 3 to 3, and 5 to 5. For older master sockets, the wiring remains the same, but a BT connector should be crimped onto the extension cable and plugged into the front of your master socket. If you need to use your master socket locally, a BT splitter adapter is required. Compatible accessories like telephone cable, IDC tools, BT Adapters, BT Crimpers, and BT Connectors are available separately.
