Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Simply plug one end of the RJ45 connector into your device (e.g., computer, game console, TV) and the other end into an available Ethernet port on your router, switch, or wall socket. Ensure the connector clicks into place.
Compatibility: This Cat6 cable is backward compatible with devices using Cat5 and Cat5e standards. However, to achieve maximum Cat6 speeds (up to 1000 Mbps or higher depending on network equipment), both the connecting devices and the network infrastructure (router, switch) must also support Cat6 or higher standards.
Care:
- Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable, as this can damage the internal conductors.
- Keep away from excessive heat sources.
- Clean connectors gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth if they appear dusty; avoid using harsh chemicals.
- Use cable clips (5-6mm recommended) to secure the cable and prevent tripping hazards or unnecessary strain on the connection points.
