100 Metre 6-Way/3 Pair Telephone Cable. Suitable for use with 631A (6-way) crimp plugs for connection of telephones or modems to BT outlets. May be used with applications such as door entry systems, intercoms or office extensions. To use this cable with 6-way (631A) BT plugs, you will need to use a crimping tool. Strip the insulation from the end of the cable, and separate the wires within. Insert these into the plug and line up the coloured wires within to the appropriate terminals. Once the wires are all seated, squeeze the connector with the crimp tool, which will lock the wires into the connector and grip the plug onto the cable. The insulation should now slide away easily, leaving you with a plugged cable. This cable is also suitable for use with telephone line faceplates which require an IDC insertion tool to attach the wires to the IDC points on the telephone jack.
