The BASIX Wide Gape hook is designed as the perfect all-round pattern for a wide variety of rigs, usable straight from the packet without additional components, whether fishing bottom baits, pop-ups, or wafters. Its aggressive in-turned eye helps it flip over and take hold in the mouth, eliminating the need for extra Kickers or shrink tube. Constructed from 'X' gauge wire, it offers strength suitable for both UK and overseas use, featuring an unobtrusive black nickel finish. The point is engineered for longevity, allowing multiple fish to be caught on the same hook before replacement; however, it's always advised to check and replace if dull before each cast. The design is based on the highly effective original Wide Gape, which has a proven track record of catching numerous large carp. BASIX Wide Gape Hooks are available in Barbed and Barbless versions in sizes 2, 4, 6, and 8. Each packet contains ten hooks.
