Please refer to the product specifications page for precise dimensions, as these can vary slightly based on the reclaimed materials used.
How do I clean the metal components?
Clean metal parts with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn grime, use a damp cloth with mild soap, then wipe dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
Is the wood treated to prevent damage?
The wood is typically sealed to offer some protection, but due to its reclaimed nature, it's best to avoid excessive moisture and direct sunlight.
Can I customize the color or finish?
Due to the nature of reclaimed materials, customization of the finish is not recommended, as it could alter the unique character of the piece.
What is the weight capacity of the shelves?
The sideboard is constructed with robust materials and is designed to hold a substantial amount of weight suitable for typical home storage needs. Specific weight limits are not usually provided for this type of product.
Will my sideboard look exactly like the picture?
Each Brooklyn Akos Sideboard is unique due to the use of up-cycled reclaimed materials. Expect variations in wood grain, color tone, and metal patina, which contribute to its individual charm.
Troubleshooting
Wobbling or instability
Ensure the sideboard is placed on a level floor. Check that all legs and structural components are securely fastened. Adjust leveling feet if present.
Surface scratches or marks
For minor scratches, a wood polish or wax can help blend them in. Avoid using abrasive cleaners. Consider using coasters or placemats for daily use.
Drawers or doors sticking
Check for any obstructions within the drawer slides or door hinges. Lightly lubricate the sliders or hinges with a silicone-based lubricant if necessary.
