Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Before starting, ensure you have all necessary tools and materials, including a pipe cutter, lubricant, and sealing tape.
- Measurement: Accurately measure the distance between the toilet outlet and the soil pipe to determine the required length of the connector.
- Connection: Insert the connector into the toilet outlet and the soil pipe. Use lubricant to ease the process and ensure a watertight seal.
- Adjustment: Adjust the length of the connector as needed.
- Securing: Tighten all connections to prevent leaks. Test the connection by flushing the toilet and checking for leaks.
Compatibility: The WC-CON8 is compatible with 4" (110mm) PVC-U and cast iron soil pipes. Ensure that the pipe diameters match for a secure fit. The inlet is designed to fit all standard pan spigots with measurements between 97-107mm.
Care: The McAlpine WC-CON8 requires minimal maintenance. Regularly check for any signs of leaks or damage. Clean the connector if necessary with warm, soapy water. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the polypropylene material.
