FAQs

What is the main benefit of the platform-top construction?

The platform-top construction provides a solid, even surface that offers consistent support for your mattress, helping to prevent sagging and extend its lifespan.

Is the mattress suitable for back pain sufferers?

The mattress offers a medium feel with reliable support, which can be beneficial for many individuals. However, specific needs for back pain can vary greatly, and consulting with a healthcare professional is always advised.

How often should I rotate the mattress?

Since the mattress is single-sided, it should be rotated head-to-toe approximately once a month to ensure even wear and maintain comfort.

What kind of fabric is the bed upholstered in?

The bed is upholstered in a premium Plush Velvet fabric, which offers a soft texture and a luxurious appearance.

Does the set include a headboard?

Yes, the Sloomy Lisbon Plush Divan Set includes a standard 26-inch strutted headboard with plain triple panels.

What are the dimensions of the 'Small Double' size?

A small double mattress typically measures 120cm x 190cm (approximately 4ft x 6ft 3in). The base dimensions will be similar.

How do I clean the Plush Velvet fabric?

For general cleaning, use a soft, dry cloth. For minor stains, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but avoid saturation. It's recommended to test cleaning methods on an inconspicuous area first, or consult professional upholstery cleaning services.

Troubleshooting

Divan base feels unstable

Ensure all assembly bolts are tightened securely. Check that the chrome gliders are evenly adjusted on the floor.

Mattress feels uneven

Rotate the mattress head-to-toe as recommended. Ensure the mattress is properly centered on the platform base.

Fabric on base shows marks

Gently spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Test on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid over-wetting the fabric.

Drawers are difficult to open/close

Check for any obstructions in the drawer runners. Ensure the divan base is on a level surface.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  2. Place the divan base in your desired location. Use the chrome gliders to adjust its position gently.
  3. Carefully place the mattress onto the platform top of the divan base. Ensure it is centered and fits the base properly.

Compatibility:

  • The mattress is designed specifically for the Sloomy Lisbon Divan Set and its platform-top base.

Care Instructions:

  • Base: Wipe the fabric upholstery with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For stubborn stains, professional cleaning may be recommended.
