Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: For optimal stability, mount the anvil on a solid wooden block or a sturdy metal stand using the integrated mounting feet. Ensure the surface is level to prevent the tool from rocking during operation.
Compatibility: The Hardy holes are designed to fit standard small-to-medium smithing tools. Always check the shank size of your accessories to ensure a proper fit before attempting to force them into the holes.
Care: Although the anvil has an oxidation-resistant coating, it is best practice to keep the working surface clean and free of moisture. After use, wipe the surface with a light coat of oil to prevent surface rust, especially if the workshop environment is humid. Avoid using the edge of the face to strike with a hardened hammer, as this may lead to chipping.
