Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Your Steiner Safari UltraSharp binoculars come with a comfortable carrying strap, pouch, rain cover, and lens caps. Attach the carrying strap to the designated eyelets on the binoculars. Ensure the lens caps are secured when not in use to protect the optics. Adjust the interpupillary distance by moving the two halves of the binoculars until you see a single, clear circle.
Compatibility: These binoculars are designed for general observation and do not require any electronic compatibility.
Care:
- Cleaning Lenses: Use a soft lens brush or microfiber cloth to gently remove dust. For smudges, use a lens cleaning solution specifically designed for optics, applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens. Never use abrasive materials.
- Body: Wipe the rubber armor with a slightly damp cloth if necessary. Ensure the binoculars are dry before storing.
- Storage: Store the binoculars in the provided pouch to protect them from dust and scratches. Keep them in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can affect the internal components and lens coatings.
- Waterproofing: While IPX4 rated, avoid submerging the binoculars in water. If they get wet, dry them thoroughly immediately.
