While the scale will show weight on the screen, a smartphone and the RENPHO app are required to view the full suite of body composition metrics.
The scale supports up to 8 individual users, each with their own profile and tracking data.
No, individuals with pacemakers or other internal medical devices should not use BIA technology scales, as the electrical current may interfere with device operation.
Weigh yourself at the same time of day, ideally in the morning on an empty stomach, and ensure the scale is placed on a flat, hard surface.
Wipe it down with a soft cloth. Avoid using water directly on the sensor areas or strong chemicals that could damage the electrode conductivity.
Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled and the scale is within close range. Restart the app and replace the batteries if the connection remains unstable.
Verify the scale is on a hard, level surface. Ensure your feet are clean and dry, and that you are not standing on a carpet or uneven floor.
Ensure you are using the handle electrodes correctly and that the connection between the base and handle is secure. Check the app to ensure your profile is fully set up.
To set up the scale, install the required batteries and download the RENPHO app on your smartphone. Enable Bluetooth and follow the in-app prompts to pair the scale. Ensure the scale is placed on a hard, flat surface; placing it on carpet will significantly skew the accuracy of the sensors. To maintain the device, wipe the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth to keep the sensors clean. Do not use harsh chemical cleaners as they may damage the conductive surface of the electrodes. Keep the scale away from extreme moisture or direct heat to prolong the life of the internal electronics.
