Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Unroll the Vango Odyssey Grande mat and open the easy operation valve. Allow the mat to self-inflate; this process may take several minutes depending on the ambient temperature. Once mostly inflated, close the valve to prevent air loss. For a firmer sleeping surface, manually inflate the mat using your mouth or a pump and then securely close the valve. To deflate, open the valve and roll the mat tightly from the end opposite the valve, pushing out as much air as possible before securing the valve.
Compatibility: This self-inflating mat is designed for use within most standard tents and bivvy bags. The non-slip base ensures compatibility with various tent floor materials. It can also be used on other surfaces like cots or even directly on the ground if suitable.
Care: To clean the mat, use a damp cloth with mild soap if necessary. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the fabric and foam. Ensure the mat is completely dry before storing it to prevent mold and mildew. Store the mat loosely rolled or unrolled in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Periodically check the valve for debris and ensure it seals correctly.
