The locking nut is specialized for this model; please store it securely when not in use.
The handle is crafted from high-quality wood, but users may choose to apply a light wood oil for added protection against moisture.
Ensure the ingot nut is tightened fully. If slippage continues, check the threading on the nut for debris.
Clean the surface of the stainless steel blade with a mild solvent or dry cloth to remove sawdust or oils that may be obscuring the markings.
To begin using the tool, loosen the ingot nut, set the desired angle or depth by sliding the stainless steel blade, and tighten the nut firmly. Ensure the wooden base is flush against your workpiece edge to guarantee a 90-degree reference. To maintain the longevity of your protractor, wipe the stainless steel blade with a dry cloth after use to prevent debris buildup. Store the tool in a dry place to prevent the wooden handle from warping or expanding due to humidity. Avoid over-tightening the nut beyond what is necessary to hold the blade, as this can place unnecessary stress on the threading.
