The Magura MT5 PRO uses Magura Blood mineral oil exclusively. Do not use DOT fluid or any other type of fluid, as it will damage the brake system.

It is recommended to bleed your brakes annually, or sooner if you notice a spongy lever feel or a decrease in braking performance.

Magura offers a five-year leak-proof guarantee on all Magura brake masters and calipers, provided they are used exclusively with original Magura spare parts.

While the brake is designed to work with Magura rotors (Storm HC or MDR-P), other manufacturer rotors can be used provided they are compatible with the caliper and rotor size. However, for optimal performance and warranty compliance, using genuine Magura rotors is recommended.

The HC lever is designed to be positioned closer to the handlebars for riders with smaller hands. Adjustment is typically done by loosening the lever clamp bolt and sliding the lever to the desired position before re-tightening.

The MT5 PRO features increased piston retraction for dependable continuous use compared to the MT7, making it friction-free and easier to mount. Both offer four-piston power, but the MT7 generally offers higher modulation and lighter weight.

The brake system likely needs to be bled. Use Magura Blood mineral oil and follow the official Magura bleeding procedure.

Check for rotor contamination, ensure proper caliper alignment, check brake pad condition, and bed in the pads if they are new.

Inspect the lever mechanism for debris or damage. Ensure the hose is not kinked or obstructed. Check piston retraction and clean caliper pistons if necessary.

Check brake pad wear and rotor condition. Ensure the system has been properly bled and there are no leaks.
