Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: This tool requires no assembly. It is ready for immediate use out of the box. Ensure the protection cap is removed before operation and replaced immediately after use.
Compatibility: Designed primarily for cutting sector cables and other materials encountered during electrical dismantling work. Its insulated handle is compatible with standard safety protocols for live line working.
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe the blade clean with a dry, lint-free cloth to remove debris. Avoid using solvents or abrasive cleaners, which could damage the insulation.
- Storage: Store the knife with the protection cap securely in place in a dry environment, away from excessive heat or moisture.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the blade for any signs of damage, rust, or wear. Check the insulation on the handle for cracks or nicks. If any damage is found, discontinue use immediately and consider replacement.
- Sharpening: If the blade becomes dull, it should be professionally sharpened or replaced to maintain cutting efficiency. Avoid attempting to sharpen it in a way that could compromise the blade's integrity or the handle's insulation.
