Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure your camera is powered off.
- Open the battery chamber cover on your Nikon DSLR.
- Remove the EN-EL15 battery.
- Insert the Nikon EP-5 Power Connector firmly into the battery chamber until it clicks into place, ensuring it's oriented correctly.
- Connect the compatible EH-5a or EH-5b AC adapter cable to the EP-5 connector.
- Plug the AC adapter into a reliable power source.
- Close the battery chamber cover securely.
- Power on your camera.
Compatibility:
This connector is specifically designed for Nikon DSLR cameras that utilize the EN-EL15 rechargeable battery. Key compatible models include the Nikon D7000, D7100, D7200, D7500, D800, D800E, D810, D810A, D850, D600, D610, D750, and D500. It requires either the Nikon EH-5a or EH-5b AC Adapter.
Care:
- Keep the connector clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid using liquids or solvents.
- Store the connector in a protective case or its original packaging when not in use to prevent damage.
- Ensure the connection points are free from corrosion or damage before each use.
- Handle the connector gently to avoid bending or breaking the pins.
