ClassicBond EPDM Lap Sealant - 302174

This sealant is specifically formulated for ClassicBond EPDM systems and should not be used on incompatible surfaces without testing.

Excess wet sealant should be wiped away immediately with a clean rag. Cured sealant is extremely difficult to remove and may require mechanical scraping.

ClassicBond Lap Sealant is not designed to be painted. It is intended to remain in its natural state to maintain its elastic and waterproofing properties.

Cure times vary based on ambient temperature and humidity, but it generally sets to the touch within a few hours and achieves full cure within 24 to 48 hours.

Application is generally recommended in temperatures above 5 degrees Celsius to ensure proper flow and adhesion.

For most clean EPDM surfaces, a primer is not required, but surfaces must be wiped free of all oils and debris.

Ensure the nozzle tip is cut at the correct angle and size, and check that the internal foil seal has been fully punctured.

Use a professional caulking gun for better pressure control and smooth the bead immediately with a silicone or plastic smoothing tool.

The surface is likely contaminated; clean the area thoroughly with an appropriate EPDM cleaner or primer and allow it to dry completely before re-applying.
