Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Mounting: Choose a suitable location on your vehicle's rear. Ensure the area is clean and allows for secure mounting. Use the provided flexible mount.
- Wiring: Connect the power and video signal cables. The power cable connects to the vehicle's reverse lights for activation, and the video cable connects to your display unit (e.g., car stereo or monitor) via an RCA connector.
- Connection: Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.
- Testing: Once installed, test the camera by shifting into reverse. The image should appear on your display.
Compatibility:
The CMOS-230 is designed for universal use and should be compatible with most vehicles. However, it requires a display unit with an RCA video input. Check your vehicle's stereo or monitor for compatibility before installation.
Care:
- Clean the camera lens regularly with a soft cloth to maintain image clarity.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials when cleaning.
- Inspect the wiring connections periodically to ensure they remain secure.
