Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Thread one end of the tether wire around the cable adapter or extension cable connector.
- Thread the other end of the tether wire around the connected head shell (e.g., the main cable it attaches to).
- Ensure both ends of the tether are positioned correctly and the loops are snug.
- Slide one of the included crimp-style metal sleeves onto the overlapping ends of the tether wire.
- Using high-quality standard or crimp style pliers, apply significant force to crimp the metal sleeve securely onto the tether wire. This step requires firm pressure to ensure a robust connection.
Compatibility:
These tethers are designed for a wide range of cable pigtail adapters and standard cable connectors due to their adjustable nature. The stainless steel material is compatible with most common cable jacketing materials.
Care:
- The tethers are made of stainless steel and polyamide, requiring minimal care. Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth if necessary. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Regularly check the crimped sleeves to ensure they remain secure, especially in high-traffic areas. Re-crimp if loosening is detected.
